Dublin Christmas Mini’s
As a family photographer, I’ve always loved the magic of outdoor shoots—wide-open spaces, natural light, and the freedom to explore. But this year’s Christmas Minis offered a completely different kind of magic, one that was just as special.
A Shift in Setting
Unlike my outdoor sessions, where families can run, play, and interact with the world around them, Christmas Minis are all about creating magic in a smaller, styled space. It’s a cozier, more intimate setup, with carefully curated backdrops and props to bring the holiday spirit to life.
But even in this controlled environment, my goal remains the same: to capture connection, joy, and laughter.
Creating Connection in Every Session
Whether we’re in a sunlit park or a festive studio, the heart of my work is making families feel comfortable and connected. During the minis, I encouraged silly games, inside jokes, and those little moments of eye contact that speak volumes. And while we couldn’t run around or chase the golden hour light, we found other ways to spark genuine smiles and candid laughs.
A Different Kind of Magic
The simplicity of the Christmas Minis allowed me to focus on the smaller details: the way a child lights up while holding a bauble, a parent’s proud smile, or siblings sharing a giggle over a candy cane. These moments might feel quieter than the big, bold backdrops of the outdoors, but they’re just as meaningful—and they remind me why I love this work.
A Perfect Balance
While outdoor sessions will always hold a special place in my heart, I’ve come to adore the cozy charm of these holiday minis. Each one was a chance to slow down, embrace the season, and capture the warmth of family and togetherness.
To those who joined me this year, thank you for letting me share in your holiday magic. Whether outdoors or indoors, the joy of creating memories together is what makes every session unforgettable.
Here’s to celebrating connection in every setting, all year round. Look forward to Christmas minis 2025!
